ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT MODEL (LEG. DEC. NO. 231/2001)

On July 4th, 2001 the Legislative Decree no. 231 of 8 June 2001 come into effect, in order to adapt the Italian legislation on the liability of legal persons to international conventions, to which Italy had already adhered. The Decree (IT) contains regulatory provisions concerning the «Discipline of the administrative liability of legal persons, companies and associations, including those without legal personality». It introduces and regulates the liability of said entities to crime generated administrative offenses, with provisions for administrative sanctions.
